Professor in GIScience

Queen's University Belfast - School of Natural and Built Environment

This significant appointment will be made within the School to undertake and display leadership in research in any aspect of advanced and specialised GIScience, including for example, spatial statistics, geodetics, geomatics and geo-informatics, remote sensing and modelling that complements and enhances research activities across disciplines such as Human and Physical Geography, Archaeology and Planning within the School of Natural and Built Environment (SNBE) and the strategic research priorities and themes of the wider University as identified in VISION 2020.

The appointee will be expected to demonstrate leadership by undertaking or contributing to major School, Faculty or University initiatives aimed at increasing research income; improving postgraduate and post-doctoral experience; and improving international student intake at all levels.

Salary: Professor Salary will be determined in accordance with the Professorial ranges as applied within the University.
