This appointment forms part of an ambitious plan for further developing the research and teaching capacity in the Department of Geography. We are currently expanding both research and teaching activities in the field of Geographical Information Science and we would expect the successful application to contribute teaching in areas such as applied and theoretical GIS, remote sensing, spatial analysis and/or GIS software development.

The appointee will be expected to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as undertake a range of administrative and pastoral duties.

Interviews are likely to take place in May/June 2024.

Candidates will be asked to make a presentation on their research interests and teaching experience, and to outline how they will contribute to the department.
