Public Engagement Associate

This is an opportunity to join a team dedicated to engaging the public with the University of Bristol’s research and teaching. The Public Engagement team supports and promotes engagement across the University, working with individual academics to develop and carry out their public engagement ideas and running a programme of innovative engagement activities that maintain a strong presence in the city and region.

The post holder will work with the other Public Engagement Associates to raise the profile of public engagement, encourage academics to get involved and help them to do so. Responsibilities include working with academics to develop ideas and articulate them in grant applications, assisting with accessing funding, providing training and support for the delivery and evaluation of activities where appropriate and leading on a number of key engagement initiatives.  This role is key to increasing the quantity and quality of public engagement at the University and how it links to our Engaged University strategy.
