Prof. David Stuckler at Bocconi University is seeking a Postdoctoral researcher in the field of Social Epidemiology, Health Economics or a related discipline to work on the UK Wellcome Trust funded project “Social welfare and public health: analysing quasi-natural experiments from the 2007 recession”.

It is an exciting opportunity to evaluate the impact on health and health inequalities of budget cuts and austerity measures taken in the aftermath of the Great Recessions in Europe. The researcher will be working in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment as part of Prof. Stuckler’s research team. The appointed person is expected to have experience in analysing large-scale secondary datasets and leading independent analyses with many collaborators.

Applicants should have completed or be close to completing a Ph.D. in Social Sciences, Epidemiology or related Public Health field and have experience with STATA, R, or equivalent statistical software. Knowledge of spoken and written English is required.
