Quality Standards and Accreditation Adviser

The University of Southampton seeks a Quality, Standards and Accreditation Adviser to work within the University's Quality, Standards and Accreditation Team.

In this role, you will be responsible for engaging pro-actively with academic and professional services staff across the University in co-ordinating the effective development, implementation and enhancement of the University's quality assurance policies and processes within your own areas of responsibility or as required. In particular, you will lead on quality assurance relating to postgraduate research students, working with the Doctoral College in the drafting of new policies, processes and regulations to support the research student experience. You will also work supporting student complaints and academic appeals. 

You will be able to develop positive working relationships with key academic colleagues across different disciplines and with professional services managers in education and research-related activities. You will be able to work independently and use your own initiative; you will also have excellent team working, communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. You will have excellent written skills and have experience of drafting reports or policies that synthesise complex factors in a clear way.

The post is located with the Quality, Standards and Accreditation Team in the University’s Student and Academic Administration (SAA) department.
