Lecturer in Japanese and Korean Studies

Asian Studies seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic colleague to provide teaching and research in both Japanese and Korean Studies with a specialisation in one or more of the following fields: Japanese/Korean culture, including digital culture; Japanese/Korean history. The post holder will provide teaching in both Japanese and Korean Studies across the curriculum at UG level and in more specialised areas at PG level. The appointee will further support the development of Korean Studies across the University, and will work with colleagues to secure external funding to establish the subject.

The successful candidate will have experience of teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and be able to undertake research of the highest quality.

This position is full time and open ended, and is available from January 2018.

Salary: £39,992 - £47722 per annum.
