Investigator Scientist in Neurodegeneration

We are seeking a highly motivated and independent Investigator Scientist, to work as part of a small, highly interactive team in the group of Dr Michel Goedert, to understand the molecular pathogenesis underlying common neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. Structural analysis of protein aggregates, in close collaboration with the group of Dr Sjors Scheres, is at the centre of this project. The successful candidate will have expertise in biochemistry and structural biology. Work on the existence of strains of aggregated proteins will be central.

You should have a PhD and significant relevant experience. The successful candidate will be awarded a three year fixed term Investigator Scientist position.
