Salary: £32,102 to £36,824 per annum

The University of West London is a leading modern university specialising in the education and development of exceptional creative, business and service professionals. Student Services plays a crucial role in supporting our students to ensure their needs are met and enhance their academic success.

The University is seeking a self-motivated, proactive and organised individual to effectively work in the Wellbeing team within Student Services, offering students specialist one to one advice and guidance to ensure their disability and mental health requirements are fully supported throughout their studies. 

Applicants also need to provide front-line assessment, support and referral for students with difficulties, thus supporting and ensuring the University fulfils its duty of care and related legal obligations.

This is a busy role requiring excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills.  You must have proven working knowledge of the needs of students with a range of mental health, disabilities and learning difficulties.  Knowledge of current mental health and capacity act, disability legislation, funding and policy implementation is essential for this post, as is previous experience of working in an advisory role in higher education sector. An OCR SpLD or equivalent qualification would be also be beneficial.

Applicants must have good I.T. skills with proven experience of working with IT systems to record, monitor and report on a wide range of confidential matters together with attention to detail.
