Business Gateway Manager

This is an exciting new role which has been created to support and expand Lancaster’s highly successful partnership and business engagement work.

Following a review of Enterprise and Innovation funding at the University, we are seeking to strengthen the coordination of Knowledge Exchange (KE) activity across the University, to better enable ideas and expertise to be brought together from different Faculties in support of new initiatives, projects and opportunities.

You will have experience of collaborative partnership development within Higher Education, the Public Sector or the Private Sector. Knowledge of policy and challenges identified by Research Councils, InnovateUK, Structural Funding and the wider Industrial Strategy and their impact both regionally and nationally is also essential.

The post will play a key role in working with wider business development colleagues across campus to actively identify potential income generating cross faculty initiatives using a variety funding mechanisms. This role would suit an excellent communicator who can quickly understand and communicate the application of University KE activity to a range of external partners.
