The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £33,518 - £35,550 per annum plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance.

This post will be Fixed Term Contract until 31 January 2020

The post holder will be part of the Centre for Affective Disorders research group, and will be running a highly innovative cluster-randomised clinical trial to develop the first computerised decision support system for antidepressant treatment in UK primary care. The post will be supervised by Dr Roland Zahn and will entail writing up first authored papers for publication in high quality journals. Career development will be supported and we welcome applications from people from diverse backgrounds. The role will be based at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) at Denmark Hill, South London, but the role may include travel across London to support recruitment activities.

A successful candidate will hold a PhD or MD, or will be close to completing a PhD or MD in psychology or medicine or a related field and ideally will have experience of diagnostic assessments of patients with psychiatric disorders, as well as clinical trials. There is also the opportunity to develop additional research questions by designing neurocognitive tests and undertake MRI-based research to identify novel biomarkers of response to treatment.
