Research Outcomes and Communications Officer

University of Oxford - Department of Oncology

This is a newly created post responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for raising the local, national and global profile of cancer research at Oxford University and Oxford University Hospitals Foundation Trust (OUHFT).

Working as part of the Department of Oncology Strategic Projects team and reporting to the team leader, you will be responsible for developing the strategy to achieve these objectives and also its practical implementation. This will require close working with researchers and stakeholders across the University, NHS Trust and funders.

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification) with a strong academic record and relevant first-hand experience in a communications role. Demonstrated ability to conceive, implement and evaluate successful communication strategies and activities in a large and complex organisation is an essential requirement of the role, together with significant experience of using digital media in communications, including: effective delivery of web content (both written and visual); deploying social media within an organisational context; and evaluating the impact of these communication methods. You will also have superb oral and written communication skills and the ability to plan and manage budget.

This is a full-time post, available until March 2020.
