Senior Lecturer in Midwifery

The Faculty of Health and Social Care are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual who will be involved in the organisation, delivery and leadership of midwifery programmes.

The Faculty has four education sites, based at Riverside Campus, Chester, Warrington Campus, Clatterbridge Hospital, Wirral and Leighton Hospital, near Crewe. The location for this post is at Riverside.

We are looking for a candidate who is a registered midwife, holds a relevant first and higher degree, a Postgraduate Diploma or Postgraduate certificate of Education/HEA membership and who preferably has a PhD/Professional Doctorate or one nearing completion.

The successful applicant will have knowledge and experience of the professional and academic requirements of midwifery education programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and will contribute to the academic, business and research development within the Faculty.
