Located in the offices of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, overlooking Regent’s Park in London, the Faculty offers a package that includes flexible working hours, subsidised gym membership, season ticket loan, a first-class pension scheme and generous annual leave (25 days per year).

About the role

The Education & Training Team is responsible for all aspects of the training and qualifications provided by the Faculty including the Specialty training programme in Community Sexual Reproductive Healthcare (cSRH), the Membership Examination and the General Training Programmes aimed at general practitioners and nurses.

This exciting new role will help us to deliver a revised Specialty curriculum ensuring it builds on our existing experience but is also relevant to a new era of healthcare, patient focused on community based. It also needs to be approved by the GMC. The role will also manage the delivery of our existing Specialty training programme, including managing the recruitment and support of trainees and supervisors, developing and overseeing the Membership exams and supporting ‘equivalence’ routes to being a consultant in community sexual and reproductive health.

The Specialty Manager will work closely with the Specialty Board and associated committees to ensure that the products and programmes continue to be appropriate to the SRH workforce as well as being sustainable and fit for purpose.

About you

You will be educated to at least undergraduate degree level (or equivalent) and will possess a project management qualification. You will have substantial experience of working independently in a pressurised administrative environment, managing your own output and that of others.

You will be able to demonstrate experience of delivering educational products (preferably health related) of improving policies and processes to support product/programme development and customer service. With demonstrable experience of line-management and work supervision you will possess experience of interpreting data to support management decisions and managing and servicing committees.
