About the role:

We're seeking a motivated and committed Business Development professional to expand our business offer in exciting new areas. Joining the established and successful Degrees at Work team, you’ll work with a portfolio of high quality Higher Education courses, identifying new sales opportunities, and securing business with employers. You’ll liaise closely with our Skills Development Consultants, Marketing and Business Operations teams to ensure targets are met and our clients enjoy an excellent service throughout their engagement with our University.

You’ll be joining a highly motivated team who are passionate about the unique service they offer, and who believe in providing practical learning solutions to benefit organisations and individuals.

With a degree or relevant professional qualification, you’ll be a motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with people at different levels and in a wide range of sectors. You’ll have a proven track record of working to targets, closing sales negotiations, and generating income in a business-to-business context. You’ll be an excellent team player and problem-solver, with the capacity for identifying new opportunities and following activities through. You’ll also be committed to maintaining accurate records to support our data capture and business development activities. You'll have experience of success in a target-driven sales role and of working in a multi-disciplinary team, liaising and supporting others. You'll have key account management experience and of generating leads. Experience of working in Higher Education or a training environment would be an advantage but not essential.
