Events Assistant (Industrial Placement)

Venue Reading is a professional events service offering a wide variety of venues, hosting a range of events including day and residential meetings and conferences, functions and weddings, B&B accommodation, academic summer schools and external language schools.

We are looking for an energetic person with a passion for customer service to assist our busy team taking initial enquiries through to delivering successful events. This role will offer the right person the opportunity to learn and experience many facets of the events business.

This is an industrial placement opportunity in a busy events team starting in June 2018.

You will have:

  • Superlative organisational skills
  • Excellent communication at all levels
  • Ability to multi-task, handling many client requests at one time
  • Strong people skills
  • A flexible approach to the roles
  • Previous customer service experience
  • An interest in digital marketing
  • Ability to use own initiative
