The Faculty of Science and Technology is seeking to recruit a skillful and enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher to undertake a significant role in the review and evaluation of the societal and economic impact of our research. Based in the Department of Psychology this is an opportunity for a competent researcher to undertake work to understand the impact of our research in the area of wellbeing and mental health.

You will work with staff in the Faculty and the Research and Knowledge Exchange Office to plan and deliver the investigation, evaluation and demonstration of the impact of our research. You will contribute to Bournemouth University’s reputation as a leading centre for psychological studies. You will be responsible for building upon previous and current activities to identify, plan and develop the focus for future activities, and support us to define and develop a body of practice that we could disseminate more widely. You will take a leading role in the dissemination of research findings and will establish and support innovative forms of public engagement.

You will have demonstrable research experience in at least two of the following areas: mental health, ageing, wellbeing, and/or forensic psychology. You will need to be self-motivated and able to work using your own initiative as well as in a team. You will need highly developed communication skills and be able to work under pressure. You will also have expert skills in quantitative research methods, writing research papers for publication, and will value the fundamentals of the Open Science movement.

Starting Salary: £28,936 - £33,518 per annum with further progression opportunities to £36,613

The post is available on a 24-month fixed term contract basis.
