Department Facilities Coordinator (Anthropology)

The Department of Anthropology are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and organised individual to join our busy team.

This is a new role which will play a vital part in supporting the administrative operations of the Department, and providing a professional and welcoming environment for students, visitors and staff.

Reporting to the Department Manager, you will work alongside the Professional Team to effectively coordinate departmental resources, facilities, and the annual calendar of events, conferences and meetings. In addition you will act as a first point of contact for students and visitors to the Department, as well as providing administrative support to teaching and research staff.

You will have excellent numeracy and literacy skills and proven experience in administering finances, consumables, and purchasing. You will possess excellent interpersonal skills and the organisational and planning abilities required to manage a swiftly-paced, demanding, and varied workload. You should also have strong IT skills in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Outlook, Excel and Access. Experience in accounting and Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) systems is desirable.
