Service Development Manager

Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance. 

Applications are invited for the above post based in Student Service Development. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident and driven individual to work in the Service Development strand of Student Services at the University of Nottingham. The role holder will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high quality services to students and staff; predominantly:

- Implementing customer experience projects that benefit students and staff within Student Services and beyond;

- Providing solutions to high profile issues which affect Student Services; and,

- Managing graduation processes, both in terms of preparation and on-the-day event management.

The successful candidate will have proven organisation, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. They must have problem-solving capabilities with the ability to quickly analyse a situation and provide a creative resolution for service improvement. The role holder must have proven abilities to work within a team in a cooperative, communicative and constructive manner. There will be a need for the role holder to liaise with and coordinate work activities for teams and departments across the University, working with managerial, administrative and academic colleagues at all levels.

Candidates should be educated to degree level (or equivalent) with some hands-on experience in a similar or related role, demonstrating practical and theoretical knowledge of event management, project coordination, process improvement and issue resolution.

Hours of work for this post are 36.25 per week, normally 8.45am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday inclusive (with a one hour lunch break). Given the nature of the role, there are times when additional working may be required. The post is open to job share and part time applications will be considered with a minimum of 27 hours per week.
