Salary Range: £32,478 - £44,307 plus £2,162 London Allowance per annum or

£26,614 - £46,208 plus £2,162 London Allowance per annum (Doctors in Training)

This is an excellent opportunity to build a research career and be a part of a translational research programme that includes both scientists and clinicians. The post holder will be expected to register towards a higher research degree. You would join a multidisciplinary research programme focused on (i) the investigation of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in cancer and infection to develop breath tests for disease diagnosis/ monitoring and understanding the mechanisms for volatile production and (ii) in-vitro diagnostics with the team working in the NIHR- Medtech and In vitro diagnostic Co-operative (NIHR MIC).

Surgical, gastroenterology and oncology trainees are invited to apply.

A degree in medicine (MBBS or equivalent) and full MRCS in surgery or equivalent is essential, as is full General Medical Council registration.

This is a full-time post for 12 months in the first instance with research commitments based at the St Mary’s Campus, Paddington with some clinical duties.
