Postdoctoral Research Assistant - Data Analytics for Energy Storage

We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Data Analytics for Energy Storage to join the Energy and Power Group at the Department of Engineering Science (central Oxford). The post is funded by EPSRC and is fixed-term for 12 months, with the possibility of an extension.

The successful candidate will primarily be part of EPSRC projects STABLE-NET (EP/L014343/1) and RHYTHM (EP/N034570/1), and may from time to time work on other projects in the group. You will be responsible for developing algorithms for battery health estimation, failure detection, and remaining lifetime prediction. You should have a PhD/DPhil in engineering, physics, computer science, or an allied discipline. Your publications should demonstrate competency and experience in control engineering and/or probabilistic machine learning. You will be responsible for collecting battery test data, and designing, implementing and testing software algorithms. You will participate in group activities, project meetings, and external conferences.
