Marketing and Communication Assistant

Working Pattern: Part-time, working 17.5 hours per week
Salary: Grade 5
£21,585 - £24,983 per annum pro-rata with potential to progress to £27,285 per annum pro rata through sustained exceptional contribution.

The Sheffield Royce Institute, a~£34M project based in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. Sheffield is part of the Henry Royce Institute (with the main Hub in Manchester) which aims to grow the UK world-leading research and innovation base in advanced materials science, fundamental to all industrial sectors and the national economy. The two centres - the Royce Discovery Centre (RDC) and the Royce Translational Centre (RTC) - are state of the art facilities that will allow materials discovery and will act as an open access centre of excellence.

Key duties of the Marketing and Communication Assistant will include the development and implementation of a marketing and communication plan for Royce@Sheffield, preparation of marketing materials, including website, PR and publicity, and support dissemination activities.

You will have a good honours degree, or equivalent experience with marketing and communication experience. The candidate will have good information management and strong IT skills, and experience in developing and maintaining digital and social media.

This high profile position is an opportunity to be part of the Royce Institute which will provide a national research facility where new materials can be designed and tested, accelerating their path to the commercial market.
