Research Fellow (Part time, Fixed-term)

Salary: £29,799 to £38,833 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The post is part of the NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre (Musculoskeletal Theme Lead; Prof David Walsh, 

The Centre brings together unique multidisciplinary teams to investigate and develop novel interventions to help people with musculoskeletal problems. The post-holder will assist and support the Associate Professor in Rheumatology/principal investigator (Dr A Abhishek) and co-investigators (Prof Roshan Das Nair, Dr Ana Valdes and Dr Michelle Hall) in carrying out interviews and facilitating focus groups for the “Developing and evaluating the feasibility of a nurse led non-pharmacologic complex package of care for knee pain: a pilot randomised controlled trial with a development phase” study.

The successful candidate will carry out qualitative data analysis for the project alongside a PhD student. The overall objective of the project is to amass qualitative data through interviews with patients and healthcare professionals on their experiences and views on the package of care for knee pain and specifically what they think it should comprise.

The main duties will include conducting interviews, facilitating focus groups, data cleaning, data analysis, and preparation of manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication – all supported by members of the team.

This position is part time and fixed term for one year.
