What you’ll do

BPP Business School is recruiting for a tutor specialising in Insurance to teach across apprenticeship programmes which support learners in working towards their Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) professional qualification.

We are looking for highly motivated tutors with significant Insurance practitioner experience to bring high quality teaching and module leadership into the School.

The role of the tutor is to ensure that students in the Business School receive a premium experience. This is achieved via delivery of the highest quality tuition, materials and student support.

Tutors will undertake a variety of duties including, but not restricted to, module leadership (authoring), managing student cohorts, teaching (mostly online but with some potential for face to face delivery too). Faculty may also be required to support business development/student recruitment activity (for example attending pitches or open evenings).

Role requirements

With significant practitioner experience in the Insurance sector, you will have completed the CII qualification to Diploma level on the Insurance stream. If you do not already hold a teaching qualification relevant to the discipline, or Fellowship of the HEA, you should be committed to achieving these through BPP’s PGCPHE or Headway (BPP’s accredited CPD scheme).

With excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will also be an effective presenter competent in the use of IT packages.  You will be able to effectively plan, organise and prioritise your workload and be equally happy working as part of a collaborative team as you are working alone.

Experience of teaching at a professional level or of delivering training and seminars in a commercial context would be desirable, though not essential, as would experience of writing engaging learning materials.

Please note the successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check.
