About You 

You will be a qualified and registered social worker with a relevant first degree and possess a practice learning qualification (stage 1 and/or working towards stage 2 PEPS). A higher degree (or evidence of successful progress towards completion), a teaching qualification (or working towards completion), and evidence of research training would be advantageous. 

You will be an experienced and qualified practitioner or academic with demonstrable prior experience of supporting learners in practice. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work flexibly within a team as well as show initiative to work independently. The vacancy provides an excellent opportunity for development of an academic career within a supportive environment.

Highly motivated with strong record of, and enduring interest in, supporting and engaging with students, you will support students in a range of practice learning contexts across a defined geographical placement circuit. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to be flexible and responsive in a team are crucial to the role. You will also be expected to make a contribution to both teaching and research in line with Departmental requirements and broader Faculty research themes.

Based on our expanded provision of educational programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, we are seeking to enhance the support we provide for students whilst undertaking practice-learning opportunities.
