Applications are invited for a Research Support Assistant position in the laboratory of Dr William Schafer at the MRC LMB, Cambridge to work within a programme aimed at understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms of behaviour in C. elegans. Specifically, the post holder will carry out molecular cloning and injections of nematodes and Xenopus oocytes, and help maintain the lab strain collection.  Key approaches will include generation of transgenic nematodes, DNA and RNA cloning, and nematode genetic crosses.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in C. elegans and/or oocyte injection and combination of skills in molecular cloning and basic genetics.

Successful applicants will be awarded a part-time Research Support Assistant post to the 30th June 2020.
