To support our work we are recruiting to the following role within the university’s, located in the Division of Health Research and Innovation, Centre for Health Science.

Fixed term for 12 months

The role of this job is as follows: 

  • Developing antibody testing in patients with mental health conditions
  • Developing collaborative opportunities within the University of Aberdeen, NHS Highland and beyond
  • Implementation of regulatory procedures relating to research activity (ethical approval, health & safety)
  • Reporting to the group leader on research matters
  • Such other duties temporarily or on a continuing basis, as may reasonably be required, commensurate with your grade.

The successful applicant should have a BSc or higher degree and a track record of research in medical genetics, cell culture and immunology with specific knowledge and skills of biobanking, in-house ELISA and bioinformatics. Applicants who have previously worked with biobanks for mental disorders in Scotland hold an advantage.
