Brunel University London is currently recruiting a Senior Digital Content Officer (Research) within the Marketing, Communications and Recruitment Directorate.
The Marketing, Communications and Recruitment Directorate supports the management of the University’s brand and reputation and leads the University’s strategy for student recruitment, admissions and alumni and development.
As a Senior Digital Content Officer (Research), you'll play a pivotal role in delivering our digital communication plans. Your main responsibility will be to plan, develop and deliver engaging content across our website and email platforms, with the aim of building Brunel University London's reputation as a world-class technical research institution.
As a member of the Digital Experience Team, you'll collaborate with stakeholders across the university, including academic researchers, and colleagues from media relations, public and business engagement, marketing account management and student recruitment. Your role will focus on offering support and guidance to effectively showcase Brunel’s academic research excellence on our website. Additionally, you'll work together with colleagues to craft compelling narratives to attract prospective doctoral research (PhD) students to our institution. To ensure coherence and alignment with our brand and marketing strategy, you'll be assisted by content professionals from various teams including brand, CRM, graphic design, photography and videography.
Educated to a degree level, you will have a strong background in website management, specifically hands-on, practical experience in web content development, search engine optimization (SEO), copywriting, analytics and reporting. Strong interpersonal skills, project management, and stakeholder management abilities are essential, as you'll collaborate closely with teams across departments to achieve our shared objectives. Familiarity with the higher education landscape and experience in using customer relationship management (CRM) systems would be an added advantage for this role.
