We are seeking an enthusiastic & motivated individual to join our Wellbeing Team providing advice & support to students on a wide range of issues which affect their wellbeing & experience at the university. The Wellbeing Advisor will work closely with other members of the team, the Wellbeing Team &, where necessary, with external NHS providers & support bodies.
The successful candidate is expected to deliver an effective & high-quality service & will be required to support positive mental health amongst students through direct work with individual students, support & advice for other staff & liaison with external agencies where appropriate.
You must hold a degree or equivalent, have a background in a mental health related profession (e.g. occupational therapy, social work or nursing) & experience of working in adult mental health. You must have excellent communication skills, & be able to work both independently & as a member of a team.
Our experienced team assists students on a wide range of non-academic issues that affect students whilst at university. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering wellbeing services, managing a large caseload & developing & delivering a range of interventions.
OVERALL PURPOSE
The primary purpose of this post is to deliver services in support of positive mental health amongst students, through direct work with students, support for other staff & liaison with external agencies.
