You will be required to work with students in the development, design and manufacture of their research projects, using CAD/CAM software and CNC equipment as well as more traditional manufacturing methods. This position will require a high degree of skilled machining accuracy and attention to detail. Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining the Tribology research group's reputation for service excellence and outstanding health and safety standards through various laboratory-based activities. This includes managing health and safety documentation and fulfilling other safety obligations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a laboratory environment and contribute to an inclusive workplace.

Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, you will lead the manufacturing of specialised equipment and components for groundbreaking research initiatives. This role involves providing technical expertise during the design phase to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, fostering collaboration within the diverse Faculty of Engineering.

As a key collaborator, you will work closely with students in the development, design, and production of their projects, utilising CAD/CAM software, CNC equipment, and traditional methods. Precision and attention to detail are paramount in this position, which requires a high degree of skilled machining accuracy. Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining the Tribology research group's reputation for service excellence and outstanding health and safety standards through various laboratory-based activities.
