About the role

As a Lecturer in Digital Marketing and Digital Analytics within the School of Business, you will join a community of interdisciplinary scholars. This role provides the opportunity to join initiatives to develop new modules and programmes in Digital Marketing and Marketing Analytics for undergraduate, postgraduate and executive level programmes. You will undertake seminar, tutorial and workshop teaching in addition to other activities to enhance the development and reputation of the business school. Using a variety of methods, you will undertake teaching, pastoral care, and marking and assessment.

This post is offered on either the Teaching and Professional Practice or Teaching Focussed career pathway.  

About you

We are seeking an enthusiastic, collegial individual who is motivated to provide the best experience for our students. The role is available on either the Teaching and Professional Practice career route or the Teaching Focused career route. You should be able to demonstrate knowledge in the dynamic subject area of marketing analytics, including data visualization, data analytics techniques, and AI machine learning.

For the Teaching and Professional Practice route, you may hold a PhD in a relevant area of marketing, digital marketing, social media marketing, and/or marketing analytics, or possess equivalent professional qualifications and significant relevant professional experience in digital marketing. You will be able to demonstrate comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing practice through membership with external organizations and professional networks. You will have a commitment to advancing professional knowledge and practice through the development of professional and executive education programs and consultancy activities. You should also have a clear plan for future enterprise and industry engagement activities, including leading funding, grant capture, and other income generation activities.

For the Teaching Focused career route, you should have (or be near completion of) a PhD in a relevant area of marketing, digital marketing, social media marketing, and/or marketing analytics. You will demonstrate academic teaching experience with a commitment to providing a high-quality student experience as well as excellence in leading teaching delivery and assessment, including recent experience in delivering modules and courses in digital marketing.
