About the role
The role is part of the Faculty of Brain Sciences Marketing and Communications team. The postholder will lead the communications function for the Faculty, with responsibility for raising awareness and reputation of the Faculty and its divisions and institutes as a leading global centre of education, innovation and research in brain sciences. The postholder will work closely with academic leads and develop in-depth knowledge of the Faculty and its divisions and institutes. They will bring their detailed knowledge and understanding of effective communications to deliver integrated campaigns and content to support the overarching Faculty Marketing and Communications Strategy.
This role also has line management responsibility for the Faculty Communications Manager (1.0 FTE).

About you
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of developing and delivering multi-channel communications for a range of audiences. This includes extensive experience of translating complex research to a lay audience. You will have strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to think creatively and be innovative while also being able to prioritise in a busy work environment. The role requires a high level of digital literacy, including digital design tools, digital content creation, website content management, HTML email platforms, social media channels and management tools.
