The Opportunity
We are seeking an invigorated and dynamic individual who will make a significant contribution to teaching in Scottish Gaelic language and linguistics and potentially to the Celtic curriculum more broadly. You will be a confident teacher familiar with contemporary methods of teaching.
The Celtic & Scottish Studies department in the School of Literatures, Languages & Cultures is one of the leading centres for the study of Celtic languages and literatures in the UK. You will be joining a dedicated team of teachers and researchers whose expertise ranges widely across the discipline. You will share our commitment to the very highest standards in the teaching of Celtic languages and culture. You will assume responsibility for undergraduate teaching, the supervision of undergraduates, and the provision of student support. You will be encouraged to embrace opportunities for connecting our subject area with the wider community.
We welcome applications for this post from all qualified candidates and particularly welcome applications from members of minority ethnic groups, who are currently under-represented in the School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures.
Informal inquiries may be directed to LLC.Recruitment@ed.ac.uk.
Please note that while the School of Literatures, Languages & Cultures operates with a hybrid working model, all teaching is delivered in person and on campus.
