The London College for Design & Fashion (Hanoi) began its operation in 2004 in Vietnam and our design training has a long established national reputation. Our mission is to help individuals achieve success in a variety of careers in the design industry.

Job Description: 

  • Lead the continual development of course curriculum, resources and student experience.
  • Teach full-time and part-time courses according to curriculum and support teachers in your program in line with strategic goals of the College
  • Oversee and ensure that a high standard of teaching is maintained, with students receiving well-planned, well-taught and relevant lessons that provide practical skills and industry insights. Track and evaluate student performance.
  • Monitor the work of individual staff in ensuring that the curriculum is delivered effectively to all students
  • Evaluate students in class and produce end-of-term marks and academic reports
  • Train, supervise and support teachers and teaching assistants. Organize cover for teaching staff.
  • Developing links with industry partners, introducing live project briefs and exploring work experience opportunities. Cultivate relationships with industry partners, facilitating the integration of live project briefs and exploring work experience opportunities for students.
  • Collaborate with the Director in planning and developing the curriculum to meet evolving industry trends and standards.
  • Contribute to the College's promotional activities by planning workshops for open days, interview prospective students and representing the institution at ceremonies, off-site visits and functions as required. 

Requirements:

1. Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Industrial experience is desirable.
  • Ideally, minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, 1 of which should be in a senior position
  • Relative businesses or industrial experience
  • Teaching qualifications are preferred.

2. Language Proficiency:

  • Native or near-native fluency in English.

3. Patience and Cultural Sensitivity:

  • Openness to understanding the local culture's needs for learning.
  • Ability to work patiently with beginner-level students whose first language is not English.

4. Strong Organization and Communication Skills:

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively plan and deliver the curriculum within time constraints.
  • Possesses exceptional communication skills to engage and interact with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.

5. Pedagogical Expertise:

  • Stays up to date with the latest pedagogy methods and instructional techniques to ensure the best learning experience for students.
  • Implements innovative teaching strategies to promote inclusivity, engagement, and achievement among students.

6. Passion for the Subject:

  • Exhibits a genuine passion for the subject matter and a dedication to inspiring students' interest and enthusiasm for the subject.
  • Demonstrates a strong desire to continuously deepen their own knowledge and understanding of the subject area.
