​​Postdoctoral Research Associate​

A postdoctoral position is available at King’s College London to work in the groups of Dr. Maria Sanz at KCL and Prof. Franca Fraternali at UCL.

The project involves applying rotational spectroscopy and computational methods, including quantum-chemistry and molecular dynamics calculations, to the investigation of odorants and their interactions with olfactory receptors. 

The project will be developed closely between the Sanz and Fraternali labs and will involve interactions with our industrial partners.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 3 years

This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent

• Perform original research using microwave spectroscopy to characterise the structures and conformations of relevant molecular systems.
• Perform theoretical calculations using advanced computational techniques to support spectral analysis, and to model interactions with receptors.
• Work with other lab members and collaborators to perform research, maintain equipment, and contribute to a productive and safe laboratory environment.
• Liaise with the administrative and technical team for the support of the research.
• Supervision of junior lab members.
• Dissemination of research via publication in scientific papers, meetings and conferences.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as required by the Principal Investigator.
