International Admissions and Immigration Manager

We're looking for a talented individual to join our growing Registry team to work closely with the Admissions Manager and Registrar and lead on International Admissions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Take management responsibility for student route visa students and all aspects of compliance ensuring compliance with UKVI and Lancaster University requirements. 
  • Lead on International applicant queries regarding, but not limited to, general UA92 enquiries, fees/funding, accommodation and academic administration policies and processes at UA92 whilst ensuring a professional and customer orientated frontline service is delivered to all applicants and students. 
  • To assist the Admissions Manager and wider Admissions function in the initial assessment and subsequent processing of International applications through both UCAS and direct to UA92.  
  • Accurate and regular reporting on progress to challenging targets of International Student Recruitment. Reporting should include, but is not limited to, applications in progress, progress to targets, forecasted and actuals of applications, CAS’ etc.  
  • Ensure that effective and efficient attendance monitoring processes are in place, in line with University Academic Registry policy, guidance and procedures for International students.  To communicate attendance warnings to International Students and monitor where students are in breach of their visa requirements. 
  • To help work towards challenging student recruitment targets through high quality activities and the provision of information, advice and guidance at schools, colleges and recruitment events both online and in-person (webinars, live chats, drop-in sessions etc).  
  • Promote equality of opportunity and diversity for students and staff ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning and work environment. 

What we’re looking for:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification or relevant work experience.
  • Experience of working within the Higher Education or Further Education sector within an Admissions team or an International Student Compliance team
  • Knowledge of Home Office regulations and procedures.
    The ability to plan, organise, prioritise and manage a heavy/complex caseload
    Advanced IT skills including the use of a variety of Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Able to Demonstrate Excellent Customer Service to Colleagues and Students 
  • Experience with training events & presentations.
