The University’s Information Services Group (ISG) is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join them as Assistant HR Partner on a permanent basis. Reporting to ISG’s Senior HR Partner, the successful individual will play a key role in providing advice and support to managers and employees across the function, as well as supporting with casework, gradings and project work.
This role offers a salary of salary of £31,396- £36,024 per annum and has a hybrid working pattern, with some days worked on-campus in Edinburgh and some from home.
What the job involves:
Providing dedicated HR advice and support to managers and employees across a staff group of c. 700 employees
Providing managers with informal and formal support with casework, including meetings and hearings relating to absence, grievance, disciplinary and probation issues.
Facilitating HR policy and training sessions for managers
Undertaking job gradings and ad-hoc project work as required
Maintaining good working knowledge of employment law and relevant internal policy updates
Working in close collaboration with other members of the HR Partnering team, as well as other specialist teams across the HR function.
