We have a vibrant and growing portfolio of business, computing and gaming programmes and are seeking those who appreciate that to develop future creative leaders we must teach in a creative way. You will not find a lecture theatre at Rave but you will find a range of creative, fluid teaching spaces to work with students at our campus. 

The Role

We are looking to expand our Business, Computing and Gaming sessional teaching team pool across our range of subjects. These are hourly paid roles based on campus where you will work collaboratively with the permanent course team. We are seeking those who teach at either undergraduate and/or postgraduate level within any business and computing discipline in a variety of roles including:

  • Teaching, week day daytime or evening on campus
  • Supervising final projects and dissertations
  • Marking and assessing student work
  • Mentoring students

The Candidate

You understand the needs of the creative industries. You may be a practitioner looking to enter a teaching role or perhaps you are a seasoned academic looking to bring your business and computing into a defined context. Most importantly you inspire students through innovative teaching methods and can work at pace within a course team. 

About You

We value a range of skills and are keen to hear from you if you are currently working in industry or are returning to work following a career break. Within the range of roles we are recruiting to we will provide clear briefing and support for you to get started.  

We understand the importance of work life balance and offer a range of flexible options and are open to the which days are worked. We deliver on weekdays and some evenings. 

You have:

  • A creative approach to preparing and delivering teaching content
  • Are able to work as part of a large teaching team and where needed independently
  • Are responsive to student needs from a range of backgrounds including international students
  • Are prepared to attend a compulsory training session to help you prepare for the role 
  • For Spring semester be available from 20th May 2024
