We have an exciting opportunity for an administrator to support the adjunct/casual worker process in the Southampton Business School (SBS) and you could be just the person we need for this great opportunity.
About us
The Faculty Operating Service (FOS) works with Faculty, Deanery and School Senior Leadership Teams to support education, research, and enterprise activities. You will join a supportive and friendly FOS team who are motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive team players who operate as ‘one-team’ to provide a flexible and responsive service to our academic community.
About the role
SBS has a large cohort of students. External adjuncts and PGR student demonstrators provide additional support for teaching related activities within the School. This role supports the entire process from receiving allocations of external staff required, managing their registration with uniworkforce, issuing confirmation letters, creation and monitoring of the adjunct work allocation and payment spreadsheets, processing monthly timesheets and dealing with ad-hoc queries from the casual workers and academic staff.
This role is hybrid. Successful candidates will be able to work flexibly and remotely and will be expected to spend at least 60% of their contracted hours working on campus. Flexibility will be required should the business need require a greater on-site presence.
