Role Summary
The School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences, at the University of Birmingham, is seeking to appoint a full-time faculty member at Assistant Professor level. The appointment will make substantial contributions to research, education, and administration of the school, in particular the newly developed Centre for Movement and Wellbeing (MoveWell) https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/research/centre-for-movement-and-wellbeing/about-us.
MoveWell will enhance the reputation of one the UK’s strongest Schools, building our strengths as a leading research-informed teaching department with deep-rooted civic connections. A trailblazing centre for health and wellness of diverse communities and groups, MoveWell is dedicated to elevating physical and mental wellbeing to new heights. The centre will offer a range of services and activities for various clinical groups, through purpose-built exercise training facilities and a physiotherapy clinic. MoveWell offers a platform to conduct cutting-edge research and translation of the latest scientific advancements into practical clinical applications. The role holder(s) will be expected to make substantial contributions to our new MSc in Clinical Exercise Physiology to develop future allied health professionals.
