Corvinus is the leading university in the field of business and economics in Hungary and is centrally located at the heart of Europe. The university building (also a UNESCO World Heritage Site) sits on the bank of the Danube in the centre of a beautiful historic city.
We seek an Assistant Professor to join our Department of Public Policy at the Institute of Social and Political Science.
This post is an opportunity for a candidate with a developing track record of research and teaching in any aspect of the discipline of sociology. Our department oversees an EAPAA-accredited, internationally renowned Public Policy and Management MSc Program, and has a strong profile in public policy and public governance. We also train doctoral students at the university’s Political Science PhD Program.
The successful candidate will strengthen the international profile of the department and play an important role in graduate (mostly MSc) education. In addition, they will develop the department's research profile through the production of high-quality peer-reviewed publications, the recruitment and supervision of graduate students, the acquisition of external research funding, and the enrichment, expansion, and strengthening of the institute's academic networks. We particularly welcome applications from candidates willing to work collaboratively in teaching and research, both within and across departmental boundaries.
