Applications are invited for the role of Admissions and Data Services. The post is situated in the Admissions and Data Services Team, which supports the 29 undergraduate Colleges in all aspects of the undergraduate application process (including the pre-application stage).  The team processes over 21,000 applications a year and takes a lead on key functions such as UCAS, My Cambridge Application, Subject Moderation, Admissions Assessments, the Winter and Summer Pools and processing the vast majority of applicant examination results.

The Admissions and Data Services Administrator will be responsible to the Deputy Head of Admissions and Data Services, providing administrative support for various aspects of the work conducted by the ADS team. It is expected that this role will have a strong focus on data, responding to internal and external data requests, including Freedom of Information requests. The Admissions and Data Services Administrator will be expected to use Microsoft Excel and Access frequently, and use externally provided database software, for example Tableau. They will contribute to assessing the information needs of the University's admissions community and how this might be best serviced.

There will also be administrative elements within the role, including the need to support key functions within the team, such as the Winter and Summer pools. The Head of ADS may also from time to time require the role-holder to perform other duties appropriate to the grade of the post.

Fixed-term: The funds for these posts are available for until 31st December 2025 in the first instance.

The University is moving towards hybrid working with staff able to benefit from both working in the office and at home. Student Admissions and Access is based within the Student Services Centre on the New Museums Site in Central Cambridge. Staff are currently expected to be office-based for 30% of the time; this may increase in future.
