About the role

One of the challenges of providing IT infrastructure for researchers is the necessity of flexibility – the traditional model of IT services results in services lagging (sometimes years) behind researcher needs and due to the more general requirements of large groups of users fails to take into account the individual infrastructure and applications requirements of research projects or groups.

A Senior Research Infrastructure Developer will be responsible for supporting, building and maintaining the computational software and infrastructure that drives UCL’s research. They will support both persistent services with large numbers of users, and also bespoke solutions for specific research groups.

Salary range: £51,474 to £65,698 (inclusive of London Allowance) depending on experience plus USS pension scheme. The scheme offers staff contribute 6.1% and UCL will contribute 14.6%
