We have two vacant posts. One post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week based at Alexander Fleming Hall located in Hoxton. The second post is full time, working 35 hours per week and fixed term until March 2025 located at Harrow Hall in Harrow Campus.

You will provide essential reception duties, welcoming residents, guests, contractors, and visitors to the Halls of Residence. You will be the first point of access for residents at reception.

The roles will monitor maintenance within the Halls and liaise with Campus Building Managers and contractors to ensure maintenance tasks reported by students are completed. The roles will also be responsible for accepting post/parcels from various couriers, sorting the postal deliveries, and informing residents. The Residential Coordinators will also be responsible for addressing any fire alarm activation, reporting any emergencies to the Residential Life Management and participating in weekly fire alarm testing.

This is a varied and challenging role, which requires an approachable and polite manner, with excellent communication and written skills with customer service experience and the ability to support our residents and guests living in the Halls of Residence.

The postholder will be expected to have a good standard of education to GCSE standard (or equivalent) and IT literacy including competence in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to use residential systems. There will be times when you could be asked to work at various locations, covering staff absence/annual leave.

The role will involve liaising with a wide range of university staff and students and previous experience working in a University Accommodation/ Reception environment.
