We are a world class research-intensive university. We deliver teaching and learning of the highest quality. We play a leading role in economic, social and cultural development of the North East of England. Attracting and retaining high-calibre people is fundamental to our continued success.
The Role
This role presents an exciting opportunity to take on a key role in the library's high performing Liaison and Academic Services team. You will work collaboratively with academic and professional services colleagues and with students to ensure the library's collections and services align with the Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering's ambitious plans for education and research. This will include the development and delivery of embedded digital, information and research skills support and teaching across a broad portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
We are looking for people who can bring experience of working in an academic or equivalent library environment, and an enthusiasm for supporting those working and studying in higher education. You will have provided subject support and information skills teaching and should have a knowledge of information resources and tools available to support teaching and research. This role provides the opportunity to further develop your leadership and management skills through leading a small team of colleagues and overseeing a variety of projects.
This role is a fixed-term, full-time opportunity until 30th September 2025, and provides an opportunity for those looking to move to the next stage of their career.
