Background
Based in the Student Experience Directorate, the Student Communications, Voice & Community team use their expertise, knowledge, and student-centric approach to provide clear, accessible, and consistent student communications. They work collaboratively to create a culture of listening to and engaging with our students, supporting staff to gather, interpret and respond meaningfully to feedback. With a strong focus on belonging, the team build a warm welcome and sense of community for our students.
Responsibilities
Support with planning and coordinating City's centralised Welcome offer, develop a sense of community for students, deliver creative and engaging initiatives, provide secretarial support, evaluate impact, and manage a Community Student Ambassador Scheme.
Person Specification
Knowledge and understanding of the importance of welcome, community and belonging in Higher Education. Experience of organising and running events, ideally in a HE or similar context.
Ability to use own initiative, generate creative new ideas from inception to delivery and evaluation.
Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
