UEA Global Programmes and Study Abroad
Salary on appointment will be £22,197 per annum, with an annual increment up to £24,144 per annum.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Global Programmes team, to provide the administrative support and front-facing delivery of our integration activities and on-campus events for international students and for professional delegations visiting UEA from our TNE partner institutions.
You will provide efficient, pro-active and high-quality customer support to both internal and external stakeholders.
You’ll also undertake a number of administrative duties, including gathering data and drafting reports, arranging travel, catering and on and off-campus bookings, answering queries from students and helping to create an exciting programme of cultural immersion for visiting students.
You will also play a key role in the delivery of these programmes on campus, welcoming, integrating and supporting visitors to campus during their time at UEA and will assist in the diary management and meetings arrangements for remote conversations between UEA and our overseas contacts.
You will be educated to GCSE level, including Grade C or above in both English and Maths (or hold equivalent qualifications or experience). Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential as is the ability to manage a varied workload in a high paced environment.
This full-time post is initially available immediately on a fixed term basis for 18 months to meet the current needs of the business.
It is an exciting time to be part of this growing area of business at UEA, and as such the post is expected to be extended indefinitely, but this cannot be guaranteed at this time.
UEA offers a variety of flexible working options and although this role is advertised on a full-time basis, we encourage applications from individuals who would prefer a flexible working pattern including annualised hours, compressed working hours, part time, job share, term-time only and/or hybrid working. Details of preferred hours should be stated in the personal statement and will be discussed further at interview.
However, it should be noted that the majority of peak activity takes place during the summer months and so it will be expected that you will be fully available throughout June, July, August and September.
Further information on our great benefits package, including 34 days annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays and additional University Customary days (pro rata for part-time), can be found on our benefits page.
Closing date: 9 April 2024
