Are you looking to combine your marketing career with your passion for sport, physical activity, and movement? Do you want to grow your experience, be creative and take ownership of your own campaigns? Then this may be the role for you!
Who we are
We are East London Sport (ELS) at University of East London (UEL). We encompass all UEL's student sport and physical activity offering, ranging from High Performance Scholarships to our Moves+ app.
Within ELS, we also have the SportsDock gym, the East London Phoenix wheelchair basketball franchise, the East London Sport Talent Pathway and Sport in Your Futures, through which we offer support and opportunities for local communities and young people.
As a marketing team our role is to support the promotion of these projects to the various audiences. We’re looking for a driven, enthusiastic, and creative Sport Marketing Officer to join our team. You’ll play a key role in helping us succeed in driving participation in sport and physical activity, promoting ELS’ offering and achieving our Global Sport Strategy.
What you’ll be doing
As the Sport Marketing Officer, you will own and deliver marketing plans across online and offline channels to a range of audiences including students, staff and public.
Responsibilities include crafting compelling content and copy for a variety of platforms, with a keen emphasis on engaging video content for social media. You’ll create targeted email campaigns and collaborate closely with internal and external teams including designers, media agencies, and photographers. Developing and maintaining an understanding of ELS, SportsDock and UEL offering, as well as a wider understanding of the market are integral parts of the role.
About you
What you’ll get
Beyond a competitive salary, support, and development opportunities, we offer a comprehensive benefits package:
We’re committed to working together to build a community which values diversity in both our staff and student populations, is representative and inclusive, enabling all to progress and thrive. We expect all employees of UEL to accept our EDI policy and will not tolerate discrimination in any form.
