The role

To build on the expertise within the School of Health Sciences we are seeking to appoint a Lecturer (Teaching track) A or B- Pathway Lead School Nursing (dependant on experience and/or qualifications) to support the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) School Nursing PG Diploma programme. The successful candidate will work alongside colleagues supporting the Post-Graduate NMC approved, specialist practice SCPHN and SPQ programmes.

This is a well-established team, with a breath of knowledge and experience, so this opportunity would be perfect for an experienced clinician interested in developing their knowledge and experience in education delivery, learning and teaching, as well as an experienced teacher.

The school is a leading provider of quality undergraduate and postgraduate education and is in the top 10 in the UK for research following the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF) assessment and hold Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

The School of Health Sciences offers a wide range of innovative programmes in the field and research within the school is diverse, but focussed in five key areas: Cancer Care, Digital Health and Transformation, Workforce and Wellbeing (WOW) , Long Term Conditions, Maternal and Family health.

The School of Health Sciences is located in a newly refurbished facility within the Surrey research Park. Housed in the Kate Granger building, the school has modern and innovative teaching, simulation, and study spaces to support the student journey. Research facilities and staff areas within the school also ensure modern working environments to enhance creativity.

Please note, it is University Policy to offer a starting salary equivalent to Level 3.6 (£34,980) to successful applicants who have been awarded, but are yet to receive, their PhD certificate. Once the original PhD certificate has been submitted to the local HR Department, the salary will be increased to Level 4.1 (£36,024).
