Role

The Business Partnering team is a newly created service and we are looking for four Business Partners who will play a crucial role in ensuring the directorate supports the faculties in delivering their business requirements and objectives. As a strategic partner, you will be a key member of both the faculty and directorate’s wider leadership teams, providing management and oversight of the marketing and student recruitment strategy.

Through excellent collaboration, partnership and stakeholder management, you will understand their diverse range of business needs, ensuring appropriate solutions, resources and skills are deployed to deliver successful outcomes, and meet agreed objectives.

You will directly line manage a small team who will focus on supporting the faculty across the full portfolio of its marketing and recruitment needs, as well as working as part of a wider partnering team to ensure a one team ethos in delivering a highly efficient and effective service across the institution.

You will ensure the work of the teams aligns with DMU’s strategic objectives outlined in The Empowering University Strategy and provide leadership that inspires creativity and innovation within the team, driving performance excellence and staying ahead of industry trends to maintain our competitive advantage.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of developing and managing effective teams to provide an outstanding service. It is essential that you are able to work collaboratively and possess the ability to successfully develop and manage positive stakeholder relationships, including the ability to influence and negotiate, as required.

You must have extensive experience in scoping and delivering marketing/student recruitment, communications and events strategies and solutions. You will need to be comfortable with utilising data and insight to inform decision making and must also be able to demonstrate excellent project management skills, to deliver successful outcomes.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you should have a strong awareness of the Higher Education sector and a good understanding of the strategic picture relating to student recruitment, although we also welcome candidates from outside the university sector. You will be innovative, original and creative in thinking with the ability to analyse and prioritise user requirements and stakeholder needs.
