Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent
Placed On: 26th March 2024

Are you passionate about using patient experience to make improvements in health and social care? We need someone who can help us interpret what we hear and communicate our findings to our health and social care partners and decision makers.

We are looking for someone with experience of analysing research and data including qualitative and quantitative information. This person will have responsibility for producing specific reports to key stakeholders across health and social care and will be involved in Healthwatch Norfolk projects and engagement, including:

  • desk-based research on what research findings are already available.
  • informing data collection methods such as survey design.
  • coding and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • report writing.

This is a key role for Healthwatch Norfolk supporting the whole team including project staff leading the projects, engagement staff going out to collect feedback, and the communications team telling the public what what we discover. Spotting trends in data is at the core of what we do, and you will help to shape our priorities for people living in Norfolk.

Your work will also help to ensure that we effectively represent the views and opinions of people in Norfolk about the commissioning and delivery of health and social care services. Some of the projects our Information Analyst has worked on recently include:

  • Three Hospitals Three Weeks – we analysed hundreds of responses from patients across three Norfolk hospitals.
  • Major Trauma Centre – we analysed public engagement responses around a proposal for a Major Trauma Centre in Norfolk.
  • Engagement in Care Homes – as part of a new project, we analysed the views of care home residents and their families.

What you’ll bring

We are seeking an individual who is detail oriented, inquisitive with an analytical mind, who can take complex data and present it in a way that is easy to understand. You must be confident communicating with people at all levels as well as the wider public.

You will normally be based at our offices in Wymondham and will be expected to travel for research or to attend meetings in Norfolk so you must have access to your own transport. Your own transport is required as public transport is restricted in large parts of Norfolk. Its vast with lots of rural areas with no public transport at all so access to their own transport is essential.
